Saying what’s on our minds isn’t always easy. And real conversations can be quite difficult! We often hold back expressing ourselves completely, assuming that such conversations might upset, or worse, hurt the other person. In reality, it often is our need to not offend, our need for peace and harmony that we’re servicing at that moment. So – we momentarily achieve whatever we want at the cost of addressing the real issue. And in the process, contribute to, or initiate potentially deadly consequences.
So, the next time you’re unable to say what’s on your mind – ask yourself what kind of a choice are you making? And if at a critical juncture, your choices are about yourself, what does that say about you?
